The FDA announced that they will no longer be classifying Vernors as a consumable beverage. The announcement came after several complaints from Americans stated Vernors taste like motor oil.
After several complaints were submitted, the FDA launched their investigation into Vernors. After several months of research and studying the ingredients of the beverage, the FDA was able to conclude that Vernors is just motor oil.
With this new information, the FDA was able to use Vernors inside a motorized vehicle without any problems. The test vehicle actually performed better with Vernors than it did with standard motor oil.
Now, Vernors can’t be classified as a beverage. It also has to be sold in the automobile department in all Walmarts.
