In a move that’s part digital innovation, part brazen corruption, the White House announced this week that presidential pardons will now be available for purchase through its official app. Dubbed “PardonPro,” the in-app purchase system promises to “bring justice to the people, one microtransaction at a time.”
“Gone are the days of waiting for connections or political favors,” said a spokesperson for the Office of Digital Pardons. “Now, anyone can log into the White House app, select the ‘Pardon’ tab, and choose from a range of packages, from the Basic Bribe to the Platinum Felony Cleanse. It’s convenient, efficient, and absolutely American.”
The app offers tiered pricing: $99 for minor infractions like tax fraud, $499 for insider trading, and a VIP “All-Crimes Bundle” for $9,999 that promises to erase even the nastiest white-collar shenanigans. For an additional $50, users can add a custom message from the President himself, such as “You’re forgiven, champ!” or “Don’t do it again, unless you’re rich.”
Critics say the program undermines the integrity of the justice system, but app developers insist it’s simply “modernizing an old, tired process.” One developer bragged, “You can buy a pardon faster than a Starbucks coffee, and if you subscribe to our monthly plan, you’ll get a free digital mugshot makeover.”
The app also features a leaderboard ranking the biggest spenders and most pardoned users. At press time, a hedge fund manager from New York was sitting comfortably at the top with three felony pardons and a pending request for a “Prestige Pardon,” which includes a free round of golf at Mar-a-Lago.
Inside sources revealed the White House is considering future in-app features, including “Preemptive Pardons” and a “Guilty? Swipe Right!” option for rapid-fire absolutions. For now, the message is clear: in the digital age, redemption is just a tap — and a payment — away.
