In an attempt to make their business eco-friendly, Build-A-Bear has begun using actual bear parts to produce their custom made stuffed animals which will also be fully biodegradable.
Corporate CEO Bob Aldo has released a company wide email which explained the decision in further detail.
“I’m happy to announce today that the Build-A-Bear Workshop brand will be making a leap forward in the effort to become more environmentally friendly. Starting today we will begin stocking all our stores with actual bear parts to be used in the creation of all future stuffed animals. We have been polluting the world with fabrics and plastics for far too long, now it is time for us to try a more sustainable approach.”
Bob Aldo also reassured investors of the financial benefits that switching to actual bear parts would have.
“I’ve tried one of these new flesh bears and after about a week the thing became so stinking with rot that I had to throw it out immediately. This means that parents will be forced to buy a new stuffed animal for their children weekly which means larger profits in the long term. We’ve also partnered with hundreds of National Parks to ensure any dead bears are immediately shipped to our processing facilities to be torn apart immediately.”
Children around the country have already started rushing to get their new flesh bears, many of them so excited that they started sobbing.
